Dairy Free Cheesy Popcorn

My family loves popcorn!


Most Friday nights we do ‘pizza, popcorn, movie nights’....and to be honest my favourite part of the night is always the popcorn. Even when I put on the air popper, the dogs come running for any popped kernals that fly off.

Ingredients:


3 cups hot air popcorn

3-4 tbsp coconut oil or butter

Sprinkle of sea salt

4 tbsp nutritional yeast


** Did you know that nutritional yeast is an excellent source of protein, B vitamins including B12, fiber and antioxidants. **


Instructions:


- Using a hot air popcorn maker, make at least 3 cups of popcorn

- On low heat, melt 4 tbsp coconut oil or butter

- Slowly drip the coconut oil, sea salt and nutritional yeast one at a time over the popcorn, tossing the bowl between each ingredients to make sure everything is added evenly

- Shake the popcorn well again before eating

- Serve right away or store in an air tight bag or container for 5-7 days
